On Friday, November 20, 2015, the Theta Pi Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi at the University of Texas at Tyler initiated ten of its associate members at the Ornelas Activity Center. This semester, the Pi pledge class dedicated themselves to scholarship, the betterment of themselves and those around them, as well as the advancement of the Theta Pi chapter.

Associate member president Matthew Thrasher, currently a junior at UT Tyler, explained the new member education process and how it helped him and his pledge class succeed in their fraternal education. “These last ten weeks taught me more than just the history of our Fraternity,” Thrasher said. “They taught us how to grow as leaders and succeed in everything we try to do college and beyond.”

Those initiated Friday include: Matthew Thrasher, Kunal Patel, Zachary Finch, Bradley Hudson, Aristeo Hernandez, Alexander Schultz, Dylan Hayes, Gage Nippert, Giovanni Rodriguez, and Jesse Spruiell.
